• EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) are no longer £0required for the scheme, however PAT testing of portable appliances still is. (Note, landlords who join DASH will still have to arrange a EICR as part of their membership requirements).
• Buildings insurance requirement to include £0cover for tenants to be put into temporary accommodation if the property is uninhabitable is no longer required
• Evidence of landlord training will be essential for the license holder, specifically training on the law and legal requirements relating to managing private rented housing. If the license holder is the landlord, proof of proper training through a recognised organisation will be required as part of the license application. This still applies if you have an agent providing a full management service for you (if the landlord is to be license holder). Recognised organisations are DASH, UniPol, EMPO (East Midlands Property Owners), NLA (National Landlords Association), RLA (Residential Landlords Association) and NALS (National Approved Letting Scheme).

Landlords can benefit from a £3280 per property discount from the Council if they are an accreditated landlord through DASH or UniPol. DASH membership involves certain criteria including landlord training and an inspection of a landlords rental property.
