This is a big and long overdue step forward for the lettings sector, offering greater protection for both landlords and tenants who appoint an agent to handle their money. Unfortunately there have been far too many previous cases before 1st April where rogue agents have mishandled client money in a £0fraudulent manner, however the new CMP insurance now adds protection.
